Creating Your Be Her Village Registry

The Be Her Village Registry is an innovative registry, but is super simple to use once you get started. Once you’ve created your account it’s easy to browse and select the services you want to help you make your transition into motherhood really smooth.

One awesome thing about the BHV Registry, that makes us really unique, is that we’ve created a way that you’re getting cash directly into your bank account, rather than waiting for gifts in the mail or people to drop off checks. This means no trips to the bank, and you don’t have to chase your aunts around awkwardly asking for the money they promised you. By adding Stripe to your BHV Registry, you’re adding a secure way for people to contribute directly to the services you’ve added to your registry.

Once you’ve filled out all the basic info-- your name, guess date, etc. you can get to the good stuff! We understand that predicting what you want or need can feel overwhelming, so we’ve created an easy to use registry guide to help make the process feel as smooth as possible.

We’ve broken it down into a few categories:
Build Your Birth Team, The Fourth Trimester, Restore Your Body, Heart + Mind, and Custom Services.

Build your Birth Team:
Whether you’re going the homebirth or hospital route, you’ll want to make sure you’re supported with the right education and the right people throughout your pregnancy and birth. This includes birth education, doulas, midwives, birth photography, and more!

The Fourth Trimester:
The baby is out, now what? Pregnancy and birth is hard, but postpartum is where you’re learning how to be a whole new person--a mama-- AND care for your new little one.
If you’re a first time mom, it might be impossible to know what you’re going to need after having a baby, but trust us, the more supported you are after birth, the smoother the sailing for you and your new family. Postpartum Doulas to help you adjust to motherhood, lactation specialists to help nourish your baby, pelvic floor physical therapists to help you acclimate to your new body, and maternal mental health professionals to remind you that all is well.

Restore Your Body:
Pregnancy and birth create change in the body, there’s no arguing that. But there are ways to work through and embrace these changes. With things like yoga, chiropractic, massage, and other body work you’ll be able to ease yourself into these inevitable changes.

Heart + Mind:
Sometimes birth and pregnancy can be the easy part of having a baby. It can be helpful to enlist professionals to help navigate parenthood (as babies don’t come with directions), and to help you feel healthy and at home in your body.

Custom Services:
Creating a custom service to suit your needs is super easy! Maybe you want to hire someone to organize your closets, or a gift card to your favorite restaurant or coffee shop. Your options are unlimited! Check out this post on creating your custom service

After browsing the different options available you can pick your support team for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. While some of the services might be on the more spendy side, your friends and family can contribute any amount of money to your registry that suits them. We are so excited to provide new mamas like you access to information, to care, and to give you the opportunity to get the stuff you actually want and need as you enter into motherhood!
